For only the second time in the team's history, MY Carolina Hurricanes are headed back to the Stanley Cup Finals! This has been quite a dream year, new record for regular season points and wins, Eric Staal nets 100 points, SE Division title, I get into Beckett Hockey as Collector of the Month for my Hurri-Den, I meet most of the Hurricanes while in Raleigh for Ron Francis Night, I meet Ron Francis (FINALLY) and have him sign my jersey, Cam Ward emerges as a player, and now a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals? If they can bring home a big shiny thing in a couple weeks, it would be the culmination of 27 years of eating, sleeping, breathing, bleeding for the franchise. My heart is still pounding, the job's not done yet, BRING IT HOME BOYS! |
